Blaauwklippen Cabriolet 2015 (6/case) (R134/BOTTLE)
Dark berriess with licorice spice & dark chocolate combine with notes pepper, coriander and fruitcake. Chalky tannins finishes with mid-palate and a smooth mid palate grip and texture.
Preparation of Wine
The grapes were handpicked at full ripeness and transported to the cellar for immediate processing. Spontaneous/wild fermentation in stainless steel tanks and wooden casks commenced after a two-day period cold maceration. After fermentation the wine was left on the skin for approximately two weeks before pressing. Maturation took place in a combination of 225L & 300L oak barrels for 24 months.
Excellent with roasted meat dishes and venison. Will also be the perfect companion for a braai or with matured hard cheeses.
